Bob Dylan turns 70 this year and Uptown Bill's is celebrating with Bob Fest on Friday, May 20, 7-9 pm. You're invited to take part with an interpretation of one Dylan tune in song or spoken word. Sign up now at the coffee house. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Art by Scott Gerst is display in the coffee house this month. Scott is an Air Force veteran who specializes in ink and colored pencil drawings of white-tailed deer and large mouth bass in winter scenes.Watch for an announcement soon about the June exhibit. The art exhibit space at Uptown Bill's is available to artists of all abilities. If you are interested in exhibiting at the coffee house, call Tom Gilsenan at (319) 339-0401.

Bill's Coffeeshop Newsletter is a virtual extension of Wild Bill's Coffeeshop and Uptown Bill's Coffee House. Published since 2000, the Newsletter is written by Tom Gilsenan, a former manager of Wild Bill's and now director of Uptown Bill's. You can write to him at tomgilsenan@gmail.com
Wild Bill's Coffeeshop is a project of the School of Social Work at the University of Iowa. It has been a part of campus life in Iowa City for more than 35 years.
